Unlike standard MMORPG, the game will not start with character creation. Your default character is a warrior named Dean who is an aspiring White-Wulve soldier. You are about to set yourself on an epic journey to save your land from the evil forces.

As soon as the game starts, you will be prompted immediately to the game field. The game offers an Auto Play system but the player will not rely much on it. This is not the type of RPG where all you do is to sit back and relax and let the AI do everything. Battles require the player to establish an effective strategy to win, otherwise, the mission will end up as a failure. You can activate the Auto Move so characters can move from one destination to another with less player interaction but the skills are manually executed during battles. You can also activate the Auto Full so everything will run by an AI. As far as navigation is concerned, you can move the character using the virtual joypad and interact with the environment by tapping them directly.

Companions, Heroes, and Squad

Dean might be your starting hero but you are not going to finish this mission alone. Eventually, you will encounter various characters who will accompany you along the way. Elchronicle comes with lots of PvE elements. Once a hero became part of your squad, they will accompany you until you remove them from the team and replace them with better heroes. Yes, this game allows you to take full control of your squad. You can assign which heroes you want to summon in a dungeon raid or on a certain mission. Just because you have Dean as your starting hero doesn’t mean you are stuck with the same character forever. As you progress, you will meet and unlock more powerful characters who can give your adventure more justice.

Just be mindful that you only take full control of a single main character in this game and the rest from your squad is controlled by AI. Interestingly, there are over 30 heroes to unlock in this game and you can obtain them in various ways. Aside from meeting them on your journey, you can also unlock new heroes through summoning. The game comes with a classic gacha system which enables you to summon heroes of different skills and rarities. Each hero comes with their own unique skills and attributes and each of them has their own creative backstory to explore as well which makes the game even more engaging and fascinating to explore.

Comprehensive Crafting System and Multiplayer Campaigns

The squad building system is surely an interesting highlight of Elchronicle but it has many other equally exciting features to offer. One of which is the comprehensive crafting system. The game refers to it as transcendence, a workshop content that allows you to grow equipment or runes beyond limit. You can forge the equipment you have as long as you have the required amount of gold, mana shards and other certain collectible materials. If the transcension succeeds, your equipment will gain additional stats and make it more efficient but if it fails, you still earn a mileage. If you earned enough transcension mileage, you can transcend without any material use or cost and there is no possibility of failure as well.

Elchronicle will not be considered as MMORPG without its multiplayer element. Interestingly, to interact with other players, you have to go on another mode. Adventure Mode is where all the main story takes place where you take full control of your own squad. Upon reaching a certain level, you will gain access to Raids, Dungeons and Guild Wars. You can join the guild of your choice and cooperate with them by joining them in various events. In this game, you can either join others in real-time to do raids and stuff, or you can hire their mercenaries that they’ve set to be usable by other players.

Elchronicle is truly an amazing game and impressive in many aspects. Appearance-wise, the game will surely not disappoint you at all. It treats you with remarkable visuals that you can confidently compare to those RPGs for higher gaming platforms. The game also treats you with a well-crafted storyline that makes it absolutely worth exploring. It comes with smooth MOBA style combat and it has many multiplayer campaigns to be engaged with. The game’s slow progression can be a downside to many especially if you are aiming to complete this game real fast.
