The Gameplay

The mechanics for Arcane Legends are generally simple and easily manageable. If you have experienced playing role-playing games, then you surely know the drill and how exactly this MMORPG works. Unlike other leading MMORPGs on the mobile market today, Arcane Legends may not have the smoothest or the most visually striking graphics but it offers unique cartoonish visuals that set it apart from other typical games of the same category. Like most MMORPGs, the game starts with a character selection. The game has three characters to choose from; the Sorcerer, Rogue, and Warrior. Each class comes with a unique skillset and varies in terms of their default attributes.

Sorcerer, for an instance, can cast powerful magical spells on hordes of enemies and blast away foes with their staff while Rouge can deal massive damage with deadly melee and ranged attacks while using traps to stop foes. Warriors, on the other hand, can swing immense weapons and strong enough to withstand heavy damage. After selecting your preferred class, you can customize your character by choosing your preferred hairstyle and face (you can also randomize it). Another unique element in this game is your ability to select your desired companion right after you created your own character. These companions can help you in battles and assist you in gathering loots and other valuable items you can find during your exploration.

Multiple Quests and Non-Auto Battle

Most MMORPG today are heavily relying on automated features and fast-paced gaming. Arcane Legends, however, is done and played in a classic RPG way. This game doesn’t come with AutoPlay or Auto Combat feature and everything should be executed manually from navigation to combat. As far as the game controls are concerned, you can navigate around the 3D semi-open world using the virtual joypad. Again, there is no Auto Quest so you have to manually locate your destination. This requires players to read their quests thoroughly. They can, however, activate the tracking for a specific quest to show an arrow-guide to point them to their next destination and complete their quest successfully.

Most of the creatures in this game are hostile that when you come nearby, they will aggressively attack you. Once engaged in combat, you have all the tap-based buttons on the lower-right corner of the game screen to help you. You have to manually set the target to inflict damage to your enemy. For bigger damages, you can tap and hold the attack or skill button to charge-up and release them for greater damage rate. It is also interesting to note, that you are allowed to accept multiple quests at once. Those NPCs with yellow exclamation points indicate an available quest. Once accepted, the mark will turn into a gray question mark. If the quest is completed, the question mark will soon turn into yellow. Interact with them and receive your reward in return.

Impressive Multiplayer Elements

Arcane Legends will surely not disappoint you with its multiplayer elements. There are so many areas to explore in this game. Once engaged on a mission, you will encounter real-time online players who are also doing their own businesses. Interestingly, you can freely interact with these players. You can invite them to a party and send them a friend request. Once granted, you can now interact with them through a chat messaging system. A party can raid dungeons or help each other to defeat field bosses. Building a party can be very advantageous as it helps you explore dangerous places like dungeons with less fear of dying. Also, it helps you gather more loots or better yet rare items.

Upgrading your character, by the way, is very crucial in this game. You need to constantly improve your hero to make it more efficient in every battle whether against wild creatures or against another player. As far as the PvP is concerned, the game comes with an Arena (accessible though Windmoore Arena) where you can fight against another player. Here’s how it works. Upon entering the arena, you will be asked to select your preferred team (red or blue). To start the battle, each team should have 3 members so you have to wait until all the slots are filled. Once completed, the battle will commence and it could either be a deathmatch or capture the flag campaign. You can also be part of a guild and engage in epic guild wars and events.
