The Gameplay

Interestingly, Avabel Online is an MMORPG that takes you to one epic journey. Your main objective is to guide your chosen character and engage yourself in a series of amazing action-packed missions within the virtual world of Avabel. Generally, the game features all the elements that you can expect from a standard RPG. It comes with impressive visuals, an amazing story, and a well-polished gameplay. Much like any other MMORPG, the game will rely mainly on accepting Quests. It is the only way to progress in the game and unlock all the missing chapters.

As soon as the game starts, it will ask you to select your preferred character. You can either select a Male or a Female Avatar. After doing so, the game will prompt you to a brief tutorial. As soon as you are done familiarizing yourself with the controls, you will soon be asked to select your preferred class. Generally, there are nine basic classes to pick from which include Warrior, Ranger, Magician, Rogue, Wanderer, Revenger, Creator, Acolyte, and Summoner. Each class will vary in terms of special weapons, skills, and basic attributes. Once done, you can now freely explore the map, accept quests and improve your character to its full potential.

Accept Missions and Explore The World

Although you can freely navigate the virtual world of Avabel, players are still encouraged to accept missions or quests in order to progress. Missions or quests should be taken sequentially but you will eventually encounter Side Quests that grant you special rewards in return. As far as the navigation system is concerned, you can freely move the character using the virtual joypad located on the bottom left area of the game screen. Interestingly, the player has the option if he wants to activate the Auto Quest feature or not. If it is turned on, the avatar will automatically move towards the next destination but if not, you have to manually explore the area (a glowing light will guide you).

The game features a skill-based battle system. When engaged in a battle, you can use any of the tap-based buttons on the lower right corner of the game screen. Tap the Attack button for a basic hit or better yet activate the skills for bigger impact and damage to your enemies. Just be mindful that each skill comes with their own cooldown time so try to use them wisely and timely. The game also features a small navigational map on the top right corner of the screen to guide you in your mission. This map allows you to trace down mobs and important NPCs.

Multiplayer Battles

Avabel will not be considered as MMORPG without emphasizing its multiplayer functions. Interestingly, this game comes with many amazing multiplayer functions. Much like a standard MMORPG, players can create their own team or be part of an alliance. It comes with a messaging system that allows you to broadcast announcements or private messages to certain players or parties. You can engage your team or your party in an action-packed Coop battle against strong enemies and bosses that you will encounter along the way.

If you are up for bigger challenges, you can be part of a duel or a PvP battle in this game. You can challenge a player on a match to prove your worth. For a bigger scale of battle, Avabel also features a GvG or Guild vs Guild system which allows your team to go on an epic war. There is also a Tower Scramble campaign that features a maximum of 1000 players on an arena in a brutal survival challenge. To top it all, the game also comes with a Battle Royale campaign through “Avabel Super Fight”.

The Verdict

Avabel Online is a decent MMORPG. It captures everything we enjoy from a typical RPG including superb graphics, impressive gameplay, and a compelling plot to explore. Appearance-wise, this game will definitely not disappoint you. It is indeed a visual delight that features a wide virtual world adorned with the impressive scenery. The fact that you can turn off the Auto Quest and Auto Combat mode is an interesting approach especially for gamers who are looking for extra challenges and higher-level difficulties.
