The Gameplay

Celtic Heroes is probably one of the MMORPGs that are wonderfully optimized for mobile while providing a quality that you can confidently compare to those RPGs made for higher gaming platforms. The mechanics for this game are generally simple and follows all the basic elements you can find in classic MMORPGs. Interestingly, the game starts with character creation. There are five different classes to choose from including Warrior, Rogue, Ranger, Mage, and Druid. Each class comes with its own unique skills and abilities, and as well as their default attributes. Warriors are experts in melee combats while Rouges are known for their excellent dexterity.

Ranger wields arrows and can attack enemies from afar while Mage is known for its ability to control powerful elemental magic. Druid, on the other hand, are buffers and excellent assist. After selecting your preferred class, you can customize your character’s appearance before finally sending you off to the battlefield. As the game starts, you will be introduced to Morwen who will teach you all the basic things you need to learn. Be mindful that Celtic Heroes doesn’t support any Auto-play system. Players are encouraged to manually navigate the area and engage themselves in a pure strategic battle.

Non-Auto-Play Adventure

If you are the type of gamer who wishes to progress quickly and will rely much on the Auto-play system, I am sorry to inform you that Celtic Heroes is not the game for you. This game remains faithful to the classic and old-fashion MMORPG and that makes this game absolutely impressive. Without the Auto-Play system, the game provides you a decent amount of challenge and thrill. You can navigate the immersive 3D world using the virtual joypad that sits on top of a small navigational map. Players can interact with their environment using the tap-based buttons on the lower right corner of the game screen.  Skills, on the other hand, can be found on the far right side of the screen.

The story-based quests make Celtic Heroes even more enthralling. The only way to progress in this game is to embark yourself on a series of action-packed missions. NPCs that are marked with yellow exclamation points indicate available quests. Once completed, the punctuation will turn into a question mark. You can use the small navigational map to guide you. To top it all, you can also track the quests for faster completion. It will project a yellow arrow guide in front of your character and you just have to follow the direction.  You can accept multiple quests in this game, some are part of the Main story while others are side-quests which are optional and repeatable.

Unique Skill System and Multiplayer Elements

One of the unique features of Celtic Heroes is how the character earn their skills. Instead of having a pre-determined skillset for your character, you can actually obtain your skills from vendors and through quests. You can boost these skills through points that you earn every time you gain a new level. This particular feature provides gamers freedom in character development and that is something we can rarely find in most MMORPGs today. By default, each player is initially given with 8 Hotbar slots for the skills but you can buy additional slots from the item shop. You are also given with the freedom to distribute skill points to whatever skills you want to prioritize.

Of course, Celtic Heroes will not be considered as MMORPG without its multiplayer elements.  The multiplayer elements in this game can be found through its PvE and PvP campaigns. You can search for allies and invite them to your group. Players can add other players on their friend list or you can also be part of a clan. The game comes with an interactive messaging system that allows you to chat with other players that are part of your clan or your group. Once you have added a player on your friend list, you can also start trading with them. The game also features special zones for the PvP battle. There is also a comprehensive ranking system for individual players, classes, and clans.

Celtic Heroes is truly an amazing MMORPG and is absolutely impressive in many aspects. Appearance-wise, this game is an absolute visual delight.
