From the creators behind the well-acclaimed Zenonia series comes another epic MMORPG. Talion is one of the newest addition in Gamevil’s ever-growing collection of role-playing games. The game follows a story of a great war that took place 200 years ago. A great demon named Aradune attempted to wreak havoc to the world of Nar but the goddess Planerin sacrificed herself to protect her beloved land from chaos. However, her lover Bezeniel was overcome by uncontrollable rage after losing Planerin which resulted in another chaos. To stop the rage, the guardian dragon Arslune was summoned and they both fell into an everlasting sleep deep within the earth. The war resulted in two opposing factions, the Aegis and the Bident. Now, it is up to you which alliance you would like to be part of.
The Gameplay
It is interesting to note that Talion managed to capture all the common and exciting elements that we can expect from a standard MMORPG. If you are familiar with AxE: Alliance vs Empire by Nexon Company, you will find lots of notable similarities with Talion. The game begins with a brief cinematic introduction that will showcase all the main characters and their respective roles. Each player starts the game by selecting his or her preferred alliance. You can choose between Aegis and Bident. Unlike AxE, however, both factions come with the same set of characters with slightly different interpretations.
After selecting your alliance, you will be asked to select your preferred character. Interestingly, the game features four unique characters including Kyle, Valletrin, Pell, and Aizen. Like any MMORPG, each character will vary in terms of their skillset, weaponry and basic attributes. Kyle is characterized as a mercenary warrior with high DEF and wields a huge two-handed weapon while Vellerin is described as a skillful assassin with DEX-centric attributes. Pell, on the other hand, is a powerful magician with INT-centric skills while Aizen is a gunslinger that masters long-ranged attacks. After selecting your job, you ‘ll be given the opportunity to customize your character.
Explore Huge Map and Engage on Multiple Quest
Once you are done creating your character, you will be prompted to the world where your journey will start to take place. It is important to note that Talion comes with so many automated features. There’s an Auto-completing Quest system, an Auto-Battle mode, Auto Equip, and Auto-engage system. When the auto-completing quest is on, your character will automatically move from one quest location to another without the player interaction. Just simply tap the quest box to tell your character which action to perform. You can still go on a manual quest and use the small navigational map to guide you. The small navigational map located on the upper right corner of the game screen comes with icons to identify mobs, NPCs and your next quest location.
Much like any other MMORPGs, the game will still rely on quests. Talion comes with story-based quests that should be taken sequentially. There are also sub-quests and special event quests that make the game even more thrilling. To top it all, Talion also features an Achievement system that allows you to win greater rewards. Since this is an MMORPG, expect to encounter lots of PvP and PvE modes. Players can engage themselves on Story Dungeons and invite other real-time online players to join them in a cooperative battle against dungeon and field bosses.
Weapon and Gear Upgrades
One of the best things you will appreciate when playing Talion is the overwhelming options to customize your character. The game comes with in-depth customization that allows you to customize your character based on your very own preferences. Gears can be obtained in many ways. The most common way is through looting. Enemies will occasionally drop items including weapons and gears and you can instantly equip them to your character. Armors and gears are not just for aesthetic purposes but they will also dramatically increase your character’s attributes and help them become more efficient in the battle.
The same thing goes with your weapon. Players can enhance their equipment using the upgrade stones. You can also take advantage of the in-game shop and get the opportunity to win rare items. Rubies are earned in various ways. You can obtain them from Achievements, daily logins, and more. They serve as premium currency which you can use to buy premium equipment, summon companions and purchase various battle aids. Aside from alliance and party system, Talion also comes with a Guild system and gives you the opportunity to be part of massive PvP battles and guild wars.
The Verdict
Talion is indeed an impressive MMORPG. It is wonderfully optimized for your mobile and provides you with the same quality as those MMORPGs for Windows and higher gaming platforms. Talion comes with so many great features to explore and despite relying much on automated features, Talion still captures many endearing elements that most RPG gamers will enjoy. Appearance-wise, Talion is an absolute visual delight. The game treats you with superb graphics that are perfectly matched with a compelling storyline. Overall, it is an MMORPG that is absolutely worth playing with. Currently, the game is available for both Android and iOS devices and you can download Talion for free. Have fun!
