The Taichi Panda creator Snail Games recently come up with a new epic MMORPG that takes you to another remarkable journey. Dragon Revolt is a new MMORPG that follows a story of two opposing factions, the Lothelan Empire and the Ashitar Blood Alliance. The Gameplay

The mechanics for this MMORPG are generally simple and easily manageable. Those who have played popular mobile MMORPGs should know the drill. Dragon Revolt is not really different from your standard RPGas it captures all the typical elements you would expect from a mobile MMORPG. Typically, the game follows an epic journey of a hero and will engage himself in a series of action-packed journeys through quests and various battles. These are exactly the things you will experience when playing Dragon Revolt. The game remains faithful to the classic RPG gameplay while incorporating some unique elements to it.

Like any other MMORPG, the game begins with a character selection. Interestingly, Dragon Revolt comes with six different classes to choose from. The way you pick a character is also unique as it prompts you to a realm that features six glowing silhouettes. You start off as a spirit and you just have to step into the aura of the form you wish to assume. The classes (or more like races) include Draken, Barbarian, Undead, Elf, Halfling, and Human. Each of them comes with their own attributes and skills. After selecting your race, it prompts you to a weapon-selection realm. Select your preferred weapon and proceed to character customization.

Immersive 3D Open World

After selecting your preferred alliance, the game prompts you right away to a cinematic introduction. The story of the game will vary depending on the race you picked. This will take you to an impressive 3D open world where you can freely navigate. Dragon Revolt is indeed a visual delight and treats you with visually stunning graphics and wonderful character design. The game is wonderfully optimized for mobile devices and the quality of its graphics was never compromised. You can even confidently compare its quality to those MMORPGs that are made specifically for Windows and higher gaming platforms (consoles like PS4 and Xbox ).

The game follows basic controls. You can navigate around the 3D map using the virtual joypad located on the bottom left of the screen. Interactions are done using the tap-based buttons located on the opposite corner of your joypad. There is also a small navigational map on the upper right to guide you on your current quest. Speaking of which, Dragon Revolt comes with Auto Quest and Auto Combat features which allows your character to move even with minimal or no player interaction at all. The gameplay for Dragon Revolt follows the same concept with Legacy of Destiny and some characters even share the same skillset and other notable features.

Action-Oriented Combat, Boss Battles and MOBA-Style PvP

What sets Dragon Revolt apart from Legacy of Destiny is the action-oriented combat system. Although the game comes with Auto combat features, most of the battle requires manual tactics especially when it comes to boss battles. Auto Battle in this game is not always reliable and you still have to establish an effective strategy to maximize your chances in winning. Boss battles and dungeons are two of the most exciting features of this game. Players will be dealing with gigantic bosses and they can either fight these strong creatures alone or with some help from a party or pets.

As far as the multiplayer elements are concerned, Dragon Revolt will feature different PvP modes. You can engage yourself in cooperative battle by raiding dungeons and defeat epic bosses. If you are up for bigger and massive PvP challenges, you can enter Arena that expands from 4v4 to 12v12 battlefields. It also comes with a MOBA-style battle between two opposing teams with a mission to conquer their opponent’s flags. Dragon Revolt also has an impressive Mount system that allows you to tame various winged creatures.

The Verdict

Simple and surprisingly addictive. Dragon Revolt is probably your typical MMORPG but the game still offers some unique elements that set it apart from the rest. I personally enjoyed the MOBA-style PvP battles as well as the action-oriented combat system. It is very interesting that despite the fact that most MMORPGs rely mainly on automated features, this game still gives you the power to strategize your own battle. Appearance-wise, Dragon Revolt is indeed a visual delight. The impressive graphics are perfectly matched with well-fitting music which makes the game even more appealing.
